A code slide shows real source code, syntax highlighted, with its filename and language. What makes it different from code in a blog post is the pointer. As the narration speaks, the pointer moves through the code and highlights the exact identifier, call, condition, or return value being discussed, so your eyes are always on the line the voice is talking about.
Code slides stay small on purpose. Nothing inside a slide scrolls, so each one holds a focused excerpt, and a longer file is taught across several slides instead of crammed into one.
Getting good code slides
Ask for a walkthrough of specific code and the explainer builds around it: paste code into the prompt, attach a file, or let your coding agent supply the real thing straight from your repository.
