Introduction

Juno Welcome aboard Crooked Orbit, I'm so glad you made it. These are the Python docs we use to get every new engineer comfortable with how we run things on the station. We'll start right at the beginning, with your very first variable, and build up one small step at a time. Nothing here is ever too basic to ask about. Settle in, take it at your own pace, and we'll get you flying together.
Juno Welcome aboard Crooked Orbit. These are the Python docs we use to get engineers up to speed with how we build on the station. You've got the basics down, so we'll keep a steady pace and stay practical, the way you'd actually write this day to day. Pick a topic, read it, try it. Let's build.
Juno Welcome aboard Crooked Orbit. These are the Python docs we keep for engineers who want to know how things really work on the station, not just which button to press. I've wired most of these systems myself, so expect the details everyone else skips and the reasons behind them. Read closely, question everything, and you'll be running this place before long.

The Scrimba Python course teaches through interactive lessons you write and run directly in the browser. These docs are the text companion: the same concepts written out in full, with more depth, more examples, and something to search whenever you need a quick answer.

The two are designed to work together. The lessons make concepts concrete through doing. The docs let you slow down, read carefully, and go further. Use one to reinforce the other.

Meet your guides

These docs are hosted by three guides from Crooked Orbit, and you pick which one shows you around. The teaching is the same for everyone; your guide sets how deep each section goes and the voice it's told in.

Switch guide any time from the picker at the top of any page, or open Preferences at the bottom right to change your guide, language, or font size.
